Those who feel that they never have enough time to get things done now have someone to turn to.

Stephanie Immenschuh, born and raised in Philipsburg, has opened up shop as the brains – and everything else – behind Time For You, a wide-ranging service business.

“It’s about giving people time to spend with their families, and do what they’d rather be doing,” she said.

She offers everything from event planning and concierge services to house-sitting and personalized picnic baskets. She’ll even be providing notary services in the future. She said she’s up to the challenge.

“I always seem to have three to five jobs in the summer,” she said. “I guess I’m kind of a workaholic.”

Immenschuh, who is now in her fourth year as a volunteer EMT, said she began studying nursing when she went to college, but quickly switched to culinary arts. She’s now a trained chef and holds a degree in Food Service Management from the University of Montana.

She said she first discovered her love of cooking as a teenager. She worked at the Rendezvous, where she said she was able to experiment and develop her culinary talents.

“I like the fancy stuff,” she said. “I like it to be more personal.”

She spent some time cooking and helping out at the Rocking K Ranch, where she said she did a little bit of everything, making good use of her attention to detail. From time to time she would do little jobs for homeowners.

She also cooked at Big M Outfitters, where people started to tell her that she ought to go into business for herself.

Her main clientele, Immenschuh said, will likely be part-time residents and those who vacation here. She said she’ll make sure that their houses are looked after while they’re away, and when they return, they’ll come back to a fully-stocked fridge and even some fresh-baked cookies. She’ll also decorate homes for the holidays, she said, and help with preparations for those who spend Christmas in the area.

Time For You also offers event planning and catering services, and said she already has two weddings lined up for the summer. She said she’s prepared to handle anything from setting up a ballroom to selecting floral arrangements.

Immenschuh said she gained much of her knowledge about event planning from Todd King, owner of Gilding the Lily.

“You didn’t really have to learn how,” she said. “He showed you how.”

For the most part, she said, she will be focusing on smaller projects. When somebody comes to her for a larger event than she’s able to deal with on her own, she said, she will be contracting the work to other local businesses.

In fact, another one of her services will be providing referrals to other businesses in the area. She said she likes the fact that the businesses in Philipsburg look out for each other, rather than having an aggressively competitive attitude.

Immenschuh said she knows that it’s going to be a challenging business to run.

“It seems like you’re never quite ready,” she said. “But you just have to do it.”

But she’s not nervous.

“I’m really excited about it,” she said.
